So, where on earth is Penrose?
Tharawal Country – a small town in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, Australia, in the Wingecarribee Shire.
Surrounded by small & quaint little towns, this place has a semblance of uniqueness all of its own.
The Monestary – Within the majority of moderate classics sits this stunning tufa bloc which hosts one of the best & hardest classics at the grade Tufa Line V8.
The low start 2m to the rights adds several burly tension moves making it one of the best V11’s in NSW, Slap the Cactus.
I always like checking our unique areas in new places.
This one in particular fit the bill & despite being a bit out of the way, it did line up with some Nowa trips (hmm π€)
Coming into winter, at the tail end of a pretty wet previous season, a good wind was needed to properly dry the array of sloping pinches.
Not so much luck on my first few visits as the holds where very wet..
However, getting a send go despite this & exploding at full power off one of the holds in the final sequence..
It’s all On from the first move.
A stout one for sure with a fantastic variety of very enjoyable human mechanics.
The sending day saw some good temps with dry holds, swooop ππΌ
A good time here indeed ππ»π
